However, when I went to raise the rear driver's side window nothing happened. Even worse, the driver's side rear window, the passenger's window, and the passenger's side rear window now will not respond. Doesn't matter if I use the driver's window control or any of the other window controls.

June 4, 2009. #3. check the delayed accessory fuse. I think there is one under the hood and dash. Windows and radio are delayed accessories as they stay on after the key is removed until the timeout or door is open. Do the interior dome lights work as they are on the same delayed circuit.
Hold the window up button to close the window, do not release the switch for 10s after the window is all the way up. Press the window down button to bring the window all the way down and again do not release it for 10s after the window is all the way down. The one-touch up and down function is working again after this procedure.
Reset Procedure 2. If the above reset instructions do not work for your Tribute, then this alternate method may work. Start your Tribute. Close all windows and doors. Open the window by pressing and holding the window control switch. When the window is fully open, keep the switch pressed for a few seconds.
3. Power Window Motor. Your Saab 9-3’s power window motors can and do fail over time. You’ll have to take the door panel off to get to it. A lot of them are riveted in, so be prepared to deal with that. If you’ve verified that it is getting power with a voltmeter, but it is not working, it’s time to get a new one.
The electric motor has a Thermal switch inside, if motor gets too hot thermal switch opens and cuts power to motor, when motor cools switch resets. Pushing UP the window, of course, requires more effort from the motor so it will heat up a bit, if the window is binding in its tracks or the regulator is binding then motor gets too hot and stops.
